PadCount keeps your company’s expenses, revenue, invoices and assets. Find the question below that sounds like yours.

How do I add an expense or record revenue?

Your company’s calendar is the page you land on. Use the red + Expense button or the green + Revenue button at the top, or click a day and use the same buttons on that day.

  • You can attach a photo or a PDF of the receipt as you add the entry.
  • The entry appears on the calendar on the date you gave it.

How do I invite my team?

Open Members from the Account menu, type the person’s email address, then choose whether they can view only or make changes, and choose which parts of the company they can use.

  • You can resend an invitation, change what somebody can use, or remove them, from that same page.
  • Removing somebody does not delete the entries they already made.

What does my plan include, and how do I change it?

Your plan sets how many expenses and revenue entries your company can keep. Open Billing from the Account menu to see the plan you are on, and to change or cancel it.

  • Free — 10 expenses + 10 revenue entries
  • Basic — 30 expenses + 30 revenue entries
  • Pro — Unlimited expenses and revenue entries
  • Cancelling keeps your plan until the end of the period you have already paid for.

How do I create an invoice and get paid?

Open Invoices, then New invoice. Choose the client, add what you are charging for, and send it — the invoice goes out by email.

  • When the money arrives, open the invoice and record the payment against it.
  • Clients, the Ledger and Invoice settings sit beside Invoices in the same menu.

How do I send my records to my accountant?

Every page that holds figures can give you a file, and each one exports from its own page.

  • The calendar exports a month of entries as a spreadsheet that opens in Excel.
  • Profit & loss exports as a PDF, a spreadsheet, or a CSV.
  • Self Assessment has its own export, and Assets gives you the register and a year-end list.
